Each of those sessions is a massive challenge. Picking a location, surroundings, colors, frames – all of those things matter. I create a vision in my head and there is no place to leave things up to chance.
Biggest quality of my work is my unique on a world scale ability to operate with light. On photoshoots I create a lighting to perfectly fit every set, every interior and when I need it, I can mimic the natural sunlight. It is a hard work but an exciting one, for me definitely.
Advantages of medium format photography I could list for a long time: better picture plasticity, clearer structures, tonal range, stunning depth, possibility to work outdoors – and those are only a few of the examples. For me, a key role in “the medium format” plays the quality of the picture, it shows a similar image to what a human eye registers.
