Advantages of medium format photography I could list for a long time: better picture plasticity, clearer structures, tonal range, stunning depth, possibility to work outdoors – and those are only a few of the examples. For me, a key role in “the medium format” plays the quality of the picture, it shows a similar image to what a human eye registers. It allows to enhance the prominence of the lips, texture of clothing, distribution of light on a glass surface and a lot more insanely important details. “Medium format” also makes darker, climatic rooms shine. Shadow has a lot more life in it then we would give it. We can manipulate it any way we would need or combine it with specific light to create certain visuals. Photography is basically like physics in a way and what I mean by that, it is a constant state of learning and I like a challenge. I enjoy overcoming technical difficulties and working in poorly lit environment, because it is always more challenging this way, but I can persevere thanks to my experience and ability to find the right angle to capture the right frame.
